The list is never complete, because new dates are added all the time. So feel free to check back here regularly.

Between 12 and 4 p.m. there will be a market of many Flensburg and university contact points for many different concerns. Counselling and contact points as well as committed associations and the like will participate.
Dear students, staff and teachers of the Flensburg Campus,
Unfortunately we have to postpone the event again:
We had deliberately referred to the occupation's demand because Students for Future (SFF) was involved in it and (as previously stated) we had a discussion with SFF even before the occupation, precisely on the question of how political the campus must be.
Since SFF has now withdrawn (without explanation) and we have searched in vain for a student replacement, we have to redesign the VA.
However, this also gives us the opportunity to get the presidents to come, as at least one could not attend on 31 May. And if one doesn't come, both don't come.
We cordially invite all interested people to our "Theme May". We want to listen to and discuss lectures on dealing with diseases and other health-related topics together.
In May, everything revolves around the topic of health.
On May 31 we invite you to the lecture on hospice and bereavement support. The speaker is Sandra Püschel, who works full-time at the children's and youth hospice in Flensburg.
The lecture provides an overview of the importance of hospice care and how bereavement support can help to manage the grieving process.
We welcome all interested parties, regardless of whether or not they have already had experience with hospice work or grief counselling. Questions and discussions are explicitly welcome.
We look forward to a lively participation and to learning more about the important work of hospices and the importance of bereavement care.

Moin Moin you well-disposed ones,
With summer approaching, the longing for a cozy and inviting campus garden is steadily increasing. Relaxation between lots of nature and appealing sets should bring an end to the dreary gap between Helsinki and Oslo.
We are looking for creative helping hands and minds who want to get involved. It doesn't matter whether there are suggestions for possible planting, you feel like digging or you've always wanted to live out your enriching ideas in the campus garden.
Feel free to contact us, your ecology department

Dear fellow students,
The Flensburg Brewery has been in existence for almost a quarter of a century and has experienced all the ups and downs of regional history. This event is intended to take us on this historical journey, right up to all the current challenges in the export and logistics sectors.
Flensburger Brauerei moves between the role of an expanding company that exports to 35 countries around the world and the simultaneous local roots that are just as crucial for Flensburger Brauerei. A lecture will focus on these peculiarities.
This will be followed by a guided tour of the plant, which will end with a tasting of several types of beer. You will have the opportunity to talk about how a traditional medium-sized company is facing up to the challenges of globalisation and whether disruptive effects from digitalisation can also be felt in the brewing trade.
We also want to hear from the brewmaster and beer developer about the problems, what can be expected from politics?
The contribution per person is €8.
We are looking forward to the tour.

January till March 2023
The upcoming event "THE PEARRHOLZPLATTE" is a closing event that refers to the artistic intervention "Disputation to clarify the power of education" that took place on the campus of the European University Flensburg on Reformation Day.
This artistic intervention was a project by the five students Linn Hachmann, Gizem Yüce, Ben Best, Mathis Schwormstäde and Victoria Claussen from the European University of Flensburg.
Based on the question of what constitutes (or can constitute) the university as a shared, public place, a total of 95 theses were created, which were installed on campus on Reformation Day 2022 and could be viewed as hanging next to the Audimax until early 2023.
As part of the upcoming event on March 31, 2023 from 6 p.m. at KUNST & CO, interested parties should now be given the opportunity to look at the theses one last time and to find out more about the process of creating the project and together with the Artists to enter into an exchange about the content of the theses.
After introductory words from the artists about the genesis of the project, the conversation continues in the form of a fishbowl, to which listeners are explicitly invited as active speakers.
The event will be moderated by Tristan Ludwigkeit
Finally, the signs are given away to the visitors.
Many universities are now actively promoting gender diversity, but there are still hurdles in everyday university life for trans*, inter* and non-binary people (TIN*). What could a TIN*including university look like? What is politics currently doing on the subject? And what about the Self-Determination Act? We want to talk to you and the invited experts about these and other questions on the Trans Day of Visibility.
Discuss it:
- Anna Langsch, Bündnis90/Die Grünen (elected MPs for the Kiel-West constituency in the Schleswig-Holstein state parliament – queer politics)
- Sara Simone Spinelli, Leuphana University of Lueneburg
- Jan Kösters (RWTH Aachen), bukof Commission for Queer Equality Policy
- Sascha Thierry Kriesinger (CAU Kiel), queer department of the AStA
- Maren Quaester (FH Kiel), queer department of the AStA

We all know it: in the discussion with fellow students, work colleagues, the conversation with the aunt or at the barbecue with the sports club, sayings are spoken that leave us speechless. Later we get annoyed, think we would have liked to have spoken up, contradicted, not just let the right-wing slogans stand.
This is where we want to start and enable people to overcome the moment of shock, to take a stand and make it clear: we can't accept this any longer!
In the regulars’ table fighters seminars, options for action are shown that support us in countering the right-wing and racist slogans, such as those of the AfD and its supporters.
One thing is clear: the regulars' table is everywhere: at the checkout in the organic supermarket, on the playground, on the train or in the university study group. But: We are also everywhere and we can set an example through contradiction, clear positioning and committed discussions, influence the mood in our environment and set an example for undecided people.
Max. number of participants: 20
In attendance on campus, room to be announced.

Trans* and non-binary people have become more and more visible in society in recent years. At the same time, there is a lot of headwind for the emancipation processes of trans* and non-binary people. In the workshop we want to look at how people who are not trans* and non-binary themselves can develop a sensitive, solidary and allied attitude and practice. Building on the reflection of our own images of gender and gender diversity, the second part of the workshop will deal with spaces for action and strategies for an attitude and practice of solidarity in our own everyday life in and outside the university.
No previous knowledge is required. The workshop is designed to be interactive and thrives on (self-) reflection and exchange, so active participation with a camera is a prerequisite.

"Don't come out until you have your doctorate in the bag!" was said to many in the last decades. Slowly this is changing, more and more TIN* students are already finding networking opportunities in their bachelor's or master's degree. nevertheless, the university does not remain a discrimination-free space, at the latest in the texts and content TIN* perspectives either do not appear or are pathologised. We want to get to know each other online, share strategies and come out of the meeting stronger. SchwarzRund, a non-binary PhD student*, has gathered experience from herself and others in gender studies, cultural studies and many other institutes. Within the framework of the "Surviving white Academia", methods and knowledge for resistant study emerged, which SchwarzRund will share with you. A space for exchange, reinforcement, frustration and knowledge gain.
You are welcome as TIN* students and former or future students.
Speaker SchwarzRund (keins or SR/they/@) came to Bremen as a Black German Dominican at the age of three and has lived in Berlin for over a decade. On schwarzrund.de and in various magazines, SR writes about multidimensional realities of life inside and outside of communities. SR also deals with this on stage as a speaker and poet. SR studied Cultural Studies and Gender Studies in her Bachelor's and Master's degrees. Her research focuses on queer black interventions and Afrx-Latinx identities. SchwarzRund is currently doing a PhD on Audre Lorde's understanding of democracy in the research group Contested Democracy at the University of Erfurt.

How can you counter right-wing populism in social media and apply the basic principles of radical civility? What challenges do you face and what additional options do you have? How do you even recognise who you are dealing with in a comment column discussion? In this workshop, you will gain basic knowledge about different actors on the internet and the topic of hate speech, reflect on your own usage behaviour and be shown ways to counter right-wing populism in social media in a radically polite way. You can expect a mixture of inputs, practical exercises and moderated discussions. No previous knowledge of social media is required.

Dear students, staff and teachers of the Flensburg Campus,
We cordially invite you to our public university panel discussion "How political does the campus have to be?" on 23 Mar 23 at 7:30 pm (admission: 7:15 pm). The event will take place in the Audimax and will be held in German.
Participating on the panel will be:
- Prof. Dr. Janique Brünig, Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel
- Christopher Vogt, Member of State Parliament for the FDP
- Leon Bossen, chairman of B'90/Die Grünen in KV Flensburg
- Lara Wörner, representative of Students for Future
- A member of the AStA boards
The discussion will be led by Julian Heldt, Chief reporter of the Flensburger Tageblatt.
On 30.11. and 1.12. an occupation took place in the Flensburg Audimax, which was accompanied by this, among various other demands: "The campus must be political".
Since then, we, the executive boards of both Flensburg ASten, have been asking ourselves whether and to what extent this demand applies. Is there a need for differentiation, depending on the different actors (students, university groups, staff, teachers as individuals or groups on the one hand, universities and student bodies as public corporations on the other) or on different topics? In what framework does (political) discourse take place, especially on a university campus? What is legal, what is legitimate, and what is not? And finally, how public should or can this discourse actually be?
The evening will start with short keynote speeches to embed and frame the panel discussion that will follow. Afterwards, the audience will have the opportunity to ask questions and join in the discussion.
We look forward to as many members of the campus as possible taking part and, as a result, to an interesting discussion.

Lecture "Sex Education in School" (in German)
The "Teach Love" project, founded by Dr Johanna Degen, arose from the complaints of several students. Many students did not know how exactly they should react to certain situations in sex education classes, for example, or what they would be confronted with in detail. This is why Teach Love was founded. We want to use the event to inspire students to prepare themselves for situations in sex education.
Are you interested in fighting for more diversity and equality on our campus? Do you want to meet like-minded people and learn more about how you could help change things?

We are one of the units of the university’s AStA and we invite you to join us for a games night on Monday, 13th of March, from 4-8pm, in HEL 066.

We will provide snacks and some games but if you have a favorite game that you have always wanted to introduce to others, feel free to bring it.
See you on Monday
On 11 March the spring cleaning of the two AStA will take place. We will start in the AStA container at the "Hochschule" with a breakfast and a small get-to-know-you round, in order to then set up teams for cleaning different areas on campus. You can find the AStA container at the Hochschule if you get off at the bus stop "Flensburg Hochschule" and walk in the direction of the Hochschule, the first container is directly on the right.

Feminist Foreign Policy (FFP) has been repeatedly discussed lately. Besides Sweden, Spain and France, also Germany followed the announcement of a feminist political agenda in its foreign policies. After several meetings, discussions, lobbying and consultation, the current government is yet to present an action plan for their FFP in spring 2023, while Sweden, as the first country worldwide to declare FFP in 2014, dropped it after the elections in 2022.
FFP can take various meanings and perspectives depending on how a country decides to approach it. In that sense, what could FFP mean and imply for the aforementioned Member States of the EU? And how could it not only impact EU foreign policies but also security perceptions that are of ongoing interest?
With our event, we want to create a platform for dialogue and exchange with researchers and national representatives who will discuss the different interpretations and definitions of Feminist Foreign Policy in the EU while highlighting parallels and differences in their approaches. In our online panel discussion on the 1st of March 2023 at 6 pm CET, we will debate the varying definitions of FFP in the European Union while giving a hint on the worldwide consequences these practices might have.
Among other things, we want to understand the interlinkages of French feminist diplomacy and the postcolonial patterns it creates and the difference between human and national security. Besides that, we also aim at looking at the gaps in FFP in terms of how inclusive the various interpretations are.
The European Student Think Tank (EST) invites you to participate in this event and take part in the discussion. Together with the Germany Association for the United Nations from Northern Germany (DGVN Nord e.V.), the Student Council of the European University of Flensburg in Germany and the Peace for Future Network, we are looking forward to an enlightening evening with our distinguished panellists:
- Déborah Rouach from France, Gender and Geopolitics Institute (IGG) (https://igg-geo.org/?page_id=478&lang=en)
- Inés Arco Escriche from Spain, Barcelona Centre for International Affairs (CIDOB) (https://www.cidob.org/en/experts/ines_arco_escriche)
- Toni Haastrup from the UK, Professor of Stirling (https://twitter.com/tonihaastrup)
- Kristina Lunz from Germany, Centre for Feminist Foreign Policy (CFFP) (https://centreforfeministforeignpolicy.org/)
The event will be held in English.

How widespread are anti-Semitic prejudices in the population?

When: December 2nd, 8pm
Where: Tableau, Kurze Straße 1

And once again we can't let "Everything but Qatar" take place. This time because of the uncertainties surrounding the occupation of the audimax. Should the German national team advance, we'll try again...
—————————
You think sport is basically good, but the human rights violations and the oppression of the LGBTQIA+ community in Qatar go against your grain?
You're not alone, we at AStA don't want to have anything to do with that either and want to give you the opportunity to watch sports with friends without having a guilty conscience.
In the audimax on 1 Dec we will show great (niche) sports of the past decades and garnish this with a little entertainment in between. Sports & Fun! So pack your friends and let's make the evening unforgettable together.
Drinks are on us (incl. non-alcoholics). Admission is at 7:45pm. If full, then full.
Your AStA guys Avery (Sports Unit) and Frank (Board)
Yej!
Our Open Mic takes its second turn. Starting at 8pm, we’ll rock the Kühlhaus (a club right by the train station).

Join us - no matter whether you perform or just watch the others. Everyone is welcome und entry is of course free of charge!
Let’s gooooo 🙂
Cancelled due to the occupation of the audimax.

Dear queers, dear allies!
The AStA of the EUF and the Kühlhaus would like to invite you: On Thursday 24 Nov from 10pm to 5am there will be a queer techno party in the Kühlhaus - organized by and for queer people from Flensburg! Even though it is an AStA event, non-students are explicitly invited as well. Tickets are available for 7-10€ (at your own discretion) in advance at the AStA office or at the door.
Five DJs from Flensburg will be playing:
- Simon Bolando: 22.00 – 23.30

- LIGHD (939Avantgarde): 00.30 – 01.30

Dear fellow students,
On 24 Nov 22 at 4pm, the first meeting of the new anti-racism department of the AStA will take place in OSL 055. We are still looking for people who want to work against racism and for the visibility of BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) at our university on an institutional level. At the meeting, we will first talk about what the work in the new department can look like.
If you are interested in the topic and still have questions or would like to get started directly, please come to the meeting or write to us an email to asta.antirassismus@uni-flensburg.de.
Dear fellow students,
We hereby cordially invite you to the upcoming extraordinary Stupa meeting on 23 Nov 22 at 4pm via Webex.
Meeting link: https://uni-flensburg.webex.com/uni-flensburg/j.php?MTID=mde9f95dd67902c96a9f297798a271567
The following agenda is proposed:
Item 1: Regularities
Item 1a: Welcome and determination of attendance
Item 1b: Establishment of quorum
Item 1c: Decision on the taking of minutes
Item 1d: Decision on the agenda
Item 1e: Report of the StuPa presidium
Item 2: Election of the StuPa presidium
Item 2a: Presentation and exchange of candidates

Why is there an extraordinary meeting?
At the last meeting, it was not possible to hold an election for the office of Student Parliament Presidium, as there was a need for legal clarification on this point (which could not be resolved at the meeting) during the meeting. It was decided to call an extraordinary StuPa meeting for this agenda item only and to obtain a legal opinion from the university's legal department beforehand.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Kind regards,
Tim and Timo

Queer Meetup – additional meeting this Friday!
You asked - we listened!
The Queer Meetup at Tableau is taking place again and we have added an additional date on Friday, 4th of November! We specifically welcome all those who are usually not able to come on Tuesdays. If the demand is there, we may meet every first Friday of the month in addition to our regular Tuesday dates.
Come along if you're interested in meeting other queer people from Flensburg. We're looking forward to another nice evening and more interesting conversations with you. If you like, you can also bring some games. We would appreciate it if you could do a covid test in advance.
When: November 4th, 8pm
Where: Tableau, Kurze Straße 1
And as always: There's no such thing as 'not queer enough'!
If you have any questions or suggestions, send us an email at asta.gleichstellung@uni-flensburg.de.
Your AStA Unit for Gender Equality and Diversity
Maybe you've already thought about running for your faculty's convent. On 3 November at 6pm, the university will be holding an information event to help you make your decision. A dean, and an convent executive from the University of Vechta, which has just implemented a faculty organisation structure, are invited as well as a student's representative. They will report on how their faculties and convents work, what their tasks are, how they are organised and structured - and of course answer your questions.
This is the Webex link: https://uni-flensburg.webex.com/uni-flensburg-de/j.php?MTID=mb05ce8cb1f02549f095ad0a6f40b7921
You can ask questions via the menti.com tool and do not have to give your name if you prefer to ask anonymously. You only have to enter the code 6703 1361 in menti so that the event management can see the question.
Recordings
On 19 October, another info event took place that you can watch here again. On the same page the event's recording from 3 Nov will also be placed laterwards.
What are convents?
The central body of each of the three new faculties will be the convents. Convenors will be elected by the members of the future faculties according to status groups. To ensure that this process is completed on time, these elections will take place during December 2022. You will receive further information on the candidacy, election procedure and timetable in a circular email shortly.
A convent consists of 14 members, namely seven professors, two research assistants, two students, two representatives from the TAP area (technical-administrative staff) and the dean elected by the convent (from among the faculty's professors). The decentralised Equal Opportunities Officer of the Faculty is a member of the convent in an advisory capacity.
As usual, free admission. Movie in English. It's worth coming early. And there are drinks, too, of course. 🙂
Attention: Wearing an FFP2 or medical mask is strongly recommended!

Maybe you've already thought about running for your faculty's convent. On 19 October from 3pm to 5pm, the university will be holding an information event (in German!) to help you make your decision. A dean, a member of a convent from the group of academic staff and an executive from the University of Landau, which also has a very strong focus on teacher education and is similar in size to the EUF, are invited. They will report on how their faculties and convents work, what their tasks are, how they are organised and structured - and of course answer your questions. As this event takes place during the lecture-free week, we are offering it on a hybrid basis - those who are on site are welcome to attend in person, those who are on the road can join in online.

Alternative date
In order to be able to offer you an alternative date, a second event (also with a dean and a faculty manager), will take place on Thursday, 3 November from 6pm to 8pm, but exclusively digitally. The Webex link will be shared here soon.

As always, we look forward to participation from the student body beyond the members of the student parliament.
Who is "we" and what is the "Stupa"?
Stupa is the abbreviation for student parliament. As many of you will already have noticed, there are some aspects in which the student body administers itself.
For example: semester ticket, representation of interests, refunds and exemptions from fees, events on campus, student councils and much more.
As on the larger political level, the self-administration of the student body is divided into the legislative "student parliament" (similar to the Bundestag) and the executive "AStA and student councils" (similar to the government with ministries).
The student parliament is therefore the highest body within the student body and, as it were, points the way forward. There are currently 21 mandates in the parliament. These are distributed among different lists (quasi parties).
And "we"? That's Momme, Timo and Tim. We form the presidium of the student parliament. Our task is to conduct the business of the student parliament, such as invitations to meetings or meetings themselves. If you have any questions about the student parliament, you can always contact us at stupa@uni-flensburg.de .
There will certainly be another opportunity to get to know us and the work of the parliament at a later date. Maybe you would like to run for the next parliament (elections in summer next year)?
You are all welcome to come to the meetings at any time and to contribute your opinion. You will always find an overview of the topics discussed at the meetings in the appendix.
We wish you all a great start to the lecture period!
Kind regards
Timo, Momme and Tim
